Chris Evans, 33, and ex-Spice Girl Geri Halliwell, 27. Yesterday there were
reports that the two were romantically linked and maybe considering
marriage. Chris` ex-wife Carol McGiffin says it`s just a publicity stunt to
promote Geri`s new single, out this week: "I`m pretty sure that the one
thing that Chris doesn`t joke about is marriage," she writes in The
Express. "Who does when you`ve had the marriage from hell? And I wasn`t
even famous". But she doesn`t miss the opportunity to tease the couple -
the marriage wouldn`t work, she says, because "she`s too short for him: he
likes tall girls. Well, he did."
Meanwhile, according to The Sun`s revelations, `Baby Spice` Emma Bunton
says "I`ve had nine calls from Chris myself. He rang over the weekend
asking me out for a drink - but I refused." Emma also has a new single on
