"Officers in waterproof clothing, backpacks and protective knee pads searched a muddy field," says Richard Savill in The Telegraph. "Others began digging up land in the hope that the mystery of Miss Lamplugh`s disappearance can finally be solved." Detectivbes have had to use aerial photos and GPS satellite positioning technology to establish how the area looked when Suzy Lamplugh disappeared in in July 1986. "The brickworks area is adjoined by a freight transport warehouse and three car parks built in the past five years," writes Paul Kelso. "The site used to be crossed by a lovers` lane which is no longer visible."
