Body Found In Hunt For Missing Jake

snippet: "The body of a small boy was last night found floating in the North Sea less than a mile from the spot where missing five-year-old Jake Parker vanished on Sunday," reports The Guardian today.
"A private yacht spotted the body off Brancaster and alerted the coastguard, which recovered it from the sea," says Chris Gray in The Independent. "The identification process was under way last night. Jake`s family, from Northamptonshire, were informed."
"The youngster, of Wellingborough, Northants, disappeared while on a day trip to the Norfolk coast," says John Troup in The Sun. "He is thought to have gone for a paddle on Brancaster beach and was swept away in a powerful tidal current."
"A huge search had been mounted including two helicopters and an RAF Nimrod," writes Anthony Mitchell in The Express. "Hundreds of day-trippers also joined police in their search for the boy. But as the hours passed hopes began to fade."
"It is a tragedy that the search for Jake should end like this," says a police officer in The Sun, "but the chances of finding him alive were very slim." [... more]
