"Speaking on a visit to one of Diana`s favourite charities, he broke his silence to publicly recognise the ground-breaking work she carried out," says The Express. The Prince of Wales is pictured cradling the baby of an HIV-positive mother at the London Lighthouse day centre to mark its merger with the Terrence Higgins Trust Aids charity.
"Coming here today has reminded me of all the work that Diana did before she died," he said. "I am sure she would be very pleased to know that I was here."
"It is only the second time the Prince has mentioned the Princess in public since her death," notes The Sun`s Charles Rae. "The previous occasion was in November 1997 at a state banquet in South Africa when he paid tribute to Diana`s anti-landmines campaign".
"The Prince may be taking on some of Diana`s favourite causes, but there was no danger of him attempting to emulate her style," writes Valentine Low in The Evening Standard.
