Blair Finds New World Order In Crisis

snippet: "Tony Blair yesterday turned his battle against the terrorists who ravaged New York into a far wider struggle for a new world order," reports The Guardian after the prime minister addressed the Labour Party conference in Brighton yesterday.
Mr Blair declared a "just war" against terrorists the world over, says Trevor Kavanagh in The Sun. "He said it would NOT be fought against Islam, but against evil. And he urged Muslim nations and leaders of all faiths to join the struggle to smash Osama bin Laden`s network of fanatics."
"There is no compromise possible with such people, no meeting of minds, no point of understanding with such terror," he said. "Just a choice: defeat it or be defeated by it. And defeat it we must."
The prime minister emphasised "the opportunity provided by the atrocities to shape a new consensus in the world," says The Scotsman. "The speech was clearly designed to show the Prime Minister as a world statesman, leading a global fight against evil and inequality."
