The plane had reached 13,000 feet before something went wrong. "The FBI has said it believes there was an explosion on board the plane moments before it went down," says The Guardian. "One of the plane`s engines fell separately from the rest of the plane." "The district is on the flight path to JFK airport and the plane would have been carrying up to 24,000 gallons of air fuel," says The Mirror.
