snippet: "The cop leading the hunt for Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman last night begged anyone holding them to allow them to return home," says The Sun, nearly five days after the ten year-old friends disappeared without trace from their homes in Soham, Cambridgeshire.
"If the children are still there with you, or you know where they are, then I would encourage you to contact a solicitor or someone else you can rely on," said acting Detective Superintendent David Beck at yesterday`s press conference. "Try to see beyond the next few hours, keep in mind your future... Get in touch with somebody so that we can all get the girls home safely."
Police have released CCTV footage showing the girls, dressed in red Manchester United shirts, in the car park of Soham`s sports centre at 6.13pm on Sunday. Six other people appear in the film footage and all have been interviewed by police, says The Sun.
Meanwhile, Sky News says evidence from a home computer used by one of the girls shortly before their disappearance has raised fears that "they may have been snatched by someone they met over the Internet". [... more]
