Gunners On Brink Of Breaking 64-Year Record

snippet: Arsenal leapfrogged Tottenham to the top of the Premiership and equalled another record last night, says The Guardian after the Gunners notched up a 2-1 victory over Manchester City at Highbury, scoring against their opposition for the 44th consecutive top-flight game and matching the record set by City in 1937.
Sylvain Wiltord and Thierry Henry scored in the first half, but Arsenal didn`t have it all their own way. "Nicolas Anelka lived up to his billing," says Alyson Rudd in The Times, "and looked worth the £13 million paid by City to Paris Saint-Germain when he equalised for his new club against the one that once made £22 million by offloading him."
