Milly`s Mum: We Know She Is Dead
who: Amanda `Milly` Dowler
what: Is almost certainly dead, says her mother
where: WALTON ON THAMES
when: Yesterday
snippet: "I think she`s been abducted and murdered," says the mother of 13 year-old Amanda `Milly` Dowler in an interview with ITV`s Tonight with Trevor McDonald, quoted in The Mirror. In a separate interview with the Daily Mail`s Rebecca Hardy, published by the paper`s online spin-off Femail, Mrs Dowler discusses the treasured memory of making the familiar home video - seen by millions following her disappearance - in which Milly is seen ironing her favourite baggy jeans.
"I just had to get the video camera and film her because it was the first time Milly had ever done any ironing," she says. "There was a CD on and she was dancing away. Her sister Gemma was cooking tea in the kitchen, which was unusual as well. As I videoed them they were taking the mickey out of me, saying I was sad..." [... more]
