Hated Carr Sobs Through Court Video Hearing
who: Murder suspect Ian Huntley`s girlfriend Maxine Carr
what: Appears in court by video link
where: PETERBOROUGH
when: Yesterday
snippet: Maxine Carr "broke down and sobbed," says The Evening Standard, as she was accused of perverting the course of justice in connection with the murders of 10 year-old Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman.

She "frequently appeared distressed during the 30-minute hearing," says The Telegraph. "She wiped tears from her eyes, hid her face in her hands and at one point was bent double... her body shaking."
"She spoke only to confirm her name, age and address and that she understood that it was a crown court hearing," says the BBC. She was arrested earlier this month with her 28 year-old boyfriend Ian Huntley, caretaker of Soham Village College, who has been charged with the murders of the girls and is currently being held at a high security hospital.
