Hunt For "Trophy Rapist" Biggest Since Ripper

snippet: "The serial rapist who has subjected children as young as ten to terrifying attacks in London and the Home Counties has struck again," reports The Scotsman, "with an assault on a 14-year old girl."
"One hundred officers from five police forces are now hunting [the] rapist in the biggest linked inquiry since the search for the Yorkshire Ripper and the largest ever manhunt for a sex offender," says The Guardian. The latest victim was attacked in Hertfordshire on Friday, the first incident north of London in a series of brutal rapes dating back almost 12 months.
"Detectives say the rapist would have been injured during the latest assault because he took his victim into thick brambles before forcing her to strip," says The Independent. "The schoolgirl is said to be traumatised by her experience, but recovering." She was atacked from behind but described the rapist as having a large nose, green or blue eyes and stubble on his face.
"The man has been described as a `trophy rapist`," explains The Telegraph, "as, in most cases, he takes an item of clothing from his victims." [... more]
