But can he hold on for another week to be the christmas Number One, wonders James Masterton of dotmusic.com, or will he have to make way for The Idols, The Darkness or Michael Andrews & Gary Jules, whose singles all go on sale this week?
Numbers Two to Four this week are simply last week`s Top Three singles shifted down a place. Will Young`s `Leave Right Now` drops from One to Two, `Shut Up` by Black Eyed Peas drops from Two to Three and Shane Richie`s Children in Need fundraiser `I`m Your Man` falls from Three to Four.
At Five there`s a new entry for Sir Cliff Richard`s christmas single `Santa`s List` - his first Top Ten hit since `Millennium Prayer` in December 1999. There are three other new entries in the Top Ten and only one of them is a novelty song. You decide which. Evanescence are at Seven with `My Immortal`, Christina Aguilera`s `The Voice Within` is new at Nine and the Cheeky Girls have this week`s Number Ten, `Have A Cheeky Christmas`.
