A leaked report revealed that it commonly takes two months for criminal records to be updated on the Police National Computer and Home Office minister Hazel Blears told the Commons yesterday that "police forces must do a lot better".

And North East Lincolnshire Area Child Protection Committee (ACPC) is to hold an investigation after it emerged this week that the Cambridgeshire former school caretaker`s employers had been ignorant of a string of sex offences - including rape - allegedly committed by Huntley while he was living in Grimsby.
