The third day of this first Test between England and Bangladesh "was one of frustration for England and ended with the players sitting in a ring beside the pitch, vainly waiting for play to restart after a power failure just as they looked like taking a few wickets of their own," says The Guardian`s Paul Weaver.

"While England can joke about the farcical way in which the day`s play ended, they should be appalled by the previous seven hours of cricket they played," says The Independent`s Angus Fraser. "Only Marcus Trescothick and Graham Thorpe came close to getting this balance [between defence and attack] right."

Reporting on day four, the BBC says England`s fortunes haven`t yet improved, reaching only 201-5 at tea.
