Massive Assault On Fallujah

The Mirror says Iraqi prime minister Ayad Allawi has given orders to "clean Fallujah of terrorists".
"The people of Fallujah have been taken hostage... and you need to free them from their grip," he told Iraqi troops at a US base. "Your job is to arrest the killers but if you kill them, then so be it."
"Supported by British forces, up to 15,000 US troops advanced in an offensive expected to involve the most intense fighting that American soldiers have faced since Vietnam," says The Independent.
"This is a hell of team," says Major-General Rich Natonski, commander of the ground forces, quoted in The Times. "The Iraqi forces are fired up. We`re gonna kick some butt."
Meanwhile, another Black Watch soldier has died in a roadside bomb attack near Camp Dogwood, south of Baghdad. And The Mirror says the suicide bomber who killed three Black Watch soldiers last week was a white European man; "a senior military source" claims this is evidence that "the Black Watch are up against foreign terrorists".
