This year, as we all knew it would be, it is of course Band Aid 20`s `Do They Know It`s Christmas?`. James Masterton, in his weekly column for Yahoo! Launch, points out some interesting chart history trivia relating to the christmas chart-topper this week which chart watchers are advised to investigate. For instance, why was the christmas chart show broadcast a day late in 1988? And what is the similarity between Band Aid 20 and Michael Jackson`s 1995 chart-topper, `Earth Song`?

Ten years after Boyzone had a hit with `Father and Son` by Cat Stevens, their former lead singer, Ronan Keating, returns to the song, this time duetting with the writer, now known as Yusuf Islam, and reaching this week`s Number Two. Kylie Minogue`s `I Believe In You` drops from Two to Three and Ice Cube drops from Three to Four with `You Can Do It`. There`s a new entry at Five for Leigh "Avid Merrion" Francis`s Bo Selecta christmas novelty record, `I Got You Babe` and there`s just one other new entry in the Top Ten for Morrissey at Ten with `I Have Forgiven Jesus`. After a Top Five hiot last year with `Santa`s List`, Sir Cliff Richard falls a long way short of contention for the festive Number One this time round - his single `I Cannot Give You My Love` limps in at Number 13.
