The 300 passengers and crew were evacuated within 20 minutes of landing and a six hour search of the aircraft began. But the threat appears to have been a hoax "The plane has now been thoroughly searched and police are satisfied there is no threat to safety," an Essex Police spokeswoman told the BBC this morning.
