"It also takes parents today an average of 56 minutes to get baby to sleep in the evening," continues The Times, "double the time that it took their own mothers, according to the survey of 2,000 new parents aged 29 to 32 and 2,000 grandmothers aged 55 to 65 conducted jointly by the magazines Mother & Baby and Yours." In other news of mothers and babies, The Guardian says "common chemicals used in products as diverse as cosmetics, toys, clingfilm and plastic bags may harm the development of unborn baby boys" and The Telegraph picks up on a Which? magazine report that claims car seat manufacturers are "irresponsible" because they are selling seats that are only safe enough to meet minimum standards.
