snippet: The Financial Times says "a significant portion" of the 549 detainees currently being held at the US naval base at Guantánamo Bay in Cuba will shortly be released or transferred. The British government has promised that Moazzam Begg, Feroz Abbasi, Martin Mubanga and Richard Belmar will be "constantly monitored and face an investigation to ascertain whether they can be charged in this country," says The Independent. But a successful prosecution under British law seems unlikely.
